The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Henry Mullaney was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Keith Ammon was unopposed in the Republican primary. Mullaney and Ammon faced off in the general election.[1] Ammon defeated Mullaney in the general election.[2]
