Michael Hyman is a judge of the First District Appellate Court of Illinois. He was appointed to this position by the Illinois Supreme Court, effective January 8, 2013.[1] Although he has been assigned to the appellate court, he was retained for a six-year term of the circuit court judges in 2014. His term expires on December 6, 2020.[2]

Education
Hyman received a bachelor's degree in journalism and a J.D. from Northwestern University in 1974 and 1977, respectively.[4]
