William Crawford (Alabama)
William Crawford was a federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama. He was nominated by President John Quincy Adams on May 5, 1826. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 22, 1826, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on February 28, 1849. Crawford was succeeded in this position by John Gayle.
Crawford was reassigned on February 6, 1839 to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.

Crawford was a federal judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.[1] He was nominated by President John Quincy Adams on May 5, 1826. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 22, 1826, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on February 28, 1849. Crawford was succeeded in this position by John Gayle.
Middle District of Alabama
Crawford was reassigned on February 6, 1839 to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama to a new seat authorized by 5 Stat. 315. His service was terminated on February 28, 1849, due to death.
