Barbara R. Kapnick
Barbara R. Kapnick is a judge for the 1st Department of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division. She assumed office in 2014. Her term ended on December 31, 2025.
Kapnick is also a judge of the New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District. Her current term ends on December 31, 2029.
Education
Kapnick received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College of Columbia University in 1975. She then received her J.D. from Boston University, School of Law in 1980.[1]
