I have dedicated my entire career to helping others. I am committed to continuing my lifelong goal of serving others, now at the community level, in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. However, our democracy is not a spectator sport. Representatives grappling with complex issues in the House need your input, support, donations, and votes to be effective. Your involvement in the political process is crucial, and I urge you to join me on this journey. I started the medical field as a Nurse Anesthesiologist, practicing anesthesia and pain management for adults and children. I became an RN, then earned my anesthesia credentials at the Cleveland Clinic, a BA from Ottawa University, and a Master's from Rush University (all without loans). I became a presenter/educator nationwide on anesthesia and pain management topics. I married Lynne Bloomquist, BA, MBA, and we have three children (Heidi and her family live in Ward 10!). I am running for the New Hampshire House of Representatives in Concord, New Hampshire, Ward 10 District 24. He says, VOTE FOR THOM BLOOMQUIST IN NOVEMBER.

My father. He started his own television sales and repair store from scratch. brought the first color TV set in the town and invited the public in to watch the Rose Parade. <p>"The Conscience of a Conservative" by Barry Goldwater is a classic political philosophy work articulating conservative principles and values. Barry Goldwater, a Republican senator in the 1964 Republican presidential nominee, outlines his views on limited government, individual freedom, free markets, and a strong national defense. The book is considered a foundational text for modern conservative thought and can provide valuable insights for right-of-center Republicans. "Basic Economics" by Thomas Sowell. Honesty, integrity, candidness, and the willingness and ability (they are not synonyms) to actively listen.
A lifelong history of caring for others, integrity and honesty.
To represent the constituency responsibly, you must show up for legislative sessions, diligently research the background of bills to be considered, seek expert consultation when necessary, work collaboratively to pass favorable bills, and block bills not in the public's best interest. When possible, you must also meet or communicate with your constituency and form good relationships with legislators to accomplish the above goals. Forming good relationships within your party is vital to further the same goals.
A legacy of positive relationships in the community and a happy family. Positive impact and prudent legislative accomplishments through collaboration.

The relationship is one of cooperation, collaboration, and mutual respect. Essential elements include 1) communication, 2)collaboration, 3)respect, 4) transparency 5)accountability. The mutual goal should be the best interests of the citizens
Yes, but not essential. A fresh perspective can sometimes help find solutions previously overlooked by groupthink.
No one is an expert at everything. Other legislators will frequently have beneficial specialty knowledge. It is essential to form positive relationships with other legislators to help pass legislation that is in the public's best interest to block legislation that is not.
Dick Hinch.
In his speech when he was elected speaker of the house, he advised all of the legislators to view each other as colleagues and friends, not enemies. This is sage wisdom. I believe we must get away from adversarial relationships, lies, and disinformation, every statement being a hyperbole, and work for the good of the citizens.
I would like to get through being a first-term representative for the New Hampshire House first.
To some degree recognizing that, to be effective, the governor will sometimes have to make immediate decisions based on the situation at the time. We need to help him do his job, not tire his hands in emergency situations.

I think listening to the concerns and issues are constituents is very important. I also think citizens voicing their concerns to their representatives is important. I believe it would be better if citizens worked through their elective representatives to make proposals. They might not know about identical or similar measures that were already past, rejected, or found unworkable. This question reinforces the importance of forming good relationships with your constituents.
