Buist ran against Democratic candidates Lori Albin, Oz Bengur, David Kosak, and incumbent Stephen Lafferty in the September 14 primary. Buist was defeated by incumbent Stephen Lafferty, Oz Bengur and Lori Albin in the Democratic primary.[1]
