Timothy Stanceu is an Article III Federal Judge for the United States Court of International Trade. He joined the court in 2003 after being nominated by President George W. Bush. Stanceu became the chief judge on July 1, 2014, after the transition of Donald Pogue to senior status.[1]

Education

Stanceu graduated from Colgate University with his bachelor's degree in 1973 and received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1979.[1]

Judicial career

Court of International Trade

Stanceu was nominated to the United States Court of International Trade by President George W. Bush on January 7, 2003, to a seat vacated by Richard Goldberg. Stanceu was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 6, 2003, on a voice vote and received commission on March 10, 2003.[2]
