Wendy McNamara (Republican Party) (also known as Mac) is a member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 76. She assumed office on November 3, 2010. Her current term ends on November 4, 2026.

Biography
Wendy McNamara was born and raised in Indiana and received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Indianapolis, teacher certification from Valparaiso University, and masters in education and educational leadership from the University of Southern Indiana. In her career, she served as a teacher and department chair at Benjamin Bosse High School and at Harrison High School, as well as the supervisor of social studies and as the assistant principal at North High School. In addition to her high school teaching, McNamara served as an adjunct professor for world history at the University of Southern Indiana and taught political science and social studies methods at the University of Evansville.[1]

Elections for the Indiana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Tony Goben was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Wendy "Mac" McNamara was unopposed in the Republican primary. McNamara defeated Goben in the general election.[6][7]

McNamara won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 76. McNamara ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and defeated W. Trent Van Haaften (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8][9]
2010
McNamara defeated Democratic candidate Bob Deig by a margin of 9,377 to 9,369. Democratic incumbent William Van Haaften did not run for re-election.[10] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
In the May 4th primary, McNamara ran unopposed and received 3,817 votes.[11]
