Miguel Márquez
Miguel Marquez was an associate justice of the Sixth District Court of Appeal in California. He was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown on May 18, 2012, and was confirmed by the California Commission on Judicial Appointments the following June 28. He succeeded Richard McAdams. Marquez was the first Latino to serve on the court.[1][2] Marquez ran for retention in 2014.[3][4] He resigned from the bench on July 29, 2016.[1]
Education
Marquez received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University, his master's degree in public policy from Harvard University and his J.D. from the University of California - Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law.[2]
