Submitted Biography "Former city council member, Retired international trade analyst, businessman I was born November 8, 1967 in Wyandotte, MI. I grew up in a working-class family, very strict Catholic setting in a Polish household. Pretty typical Wyandotte up-bringing. I went to public schools and attended Henry Ford Community College from 1985 – 1988. I have an associates degree, in which I studied architecture, engineering, journalism and political science. I worked normal restaurant jobs through HS and College. I spent 31 years in International Trade working for three Customs House Brokers, as an analyst and operations manager. I'll tell you this about woking in international trade. It gives you a vast opportunity to see how the whole world really works at many levels. To see economics at work in raw form and get up close and personal with mountains of Federal Government Red Tape. I could tell you things you simply would not believe. I could tell you nightmare stories about government over-regulation that would make you cry loudly for your mom. My political interest started at age 5, watching the world news, reading newspapers and my dad telling me that the Nixon-Watergate hearings were something important. Even though I was a child, I knew my dad was telling me something significant."

I greatly love and admire my mother. My parents were divorced when I was two years old and both continued to be a major influence throughout my life, but my mother has taught to me to be strong, to have faith, to believe in myself, to value education, how to be a good mother, and how to overcome adversity, and to never give up. Life is full of ups and downs. Resiliency amd a positive attitude are key, and that has made me the person that I am today.

I think important characteristics include civility, honesty, integrity, empathy, effective communication skills, intelligence, the ability to negotiate, critical thinking, and reasoning skills, and a commitment to public service and the betterment of society, rather than self-aggrandizement.
I am honest and trustworthy. I care about this area that I have lived in my entire life. I will fight for you freedoms to pursue the life that makes you happy.

I have dedicated my career to public service and the fight for truth and justice. I belive those qualities would enable me to be a source for positive change at the national level.

The Bible. All of Life's answers are in it. Technically the Bible is a compilation of 66 books, just in case someone wants to call me out on that detail.
Too many to list as an adult but in pre-school, my favorite was "Where the Wild Things Are" because I could identify with the spirit of the main character and loved the imaginary world he visited. In elementary school, my favorite was "Charlotte's Web" because I've always loved animals, nature, and a happy ending, even though, spoiler alert, Charlotte dies. In high school, my favorite was "The Color Purple." Again, I love a happy ending and it's a story of strength during adversity, but also the power of love and redemption.
Aquaman because he cares for the environment, his community, as well as the earth dwellers. He is also a defender of justice and a leader for the people.

Direct representation and all funding bills must start there.
Yes it is helpful, however, I think it's most important to be honest and sincere and to care for the rights of those who have voted to give that representative the responsibility to represent them.

Direct experience is usually beneficial but by no means is it required to be effective. Someone could hold a position and be totally ineffective, whereas someone else with little or no experience could get the same position and do a significantly better job, as a result of drive and determination.

I perceive the nation's greatest challenges include apathy, racial hatred, fighting fascism and authoritarianism, voter suppression, immigration, healthcare, affordable education, gun violence, and the erosion of civil rights.

There would have to be an amendment added, and I prefer voters elect better Leaders. Term limits in Congress is an ugly slippery slope. I would support an amendment. But be careful everyone.

If you can get 75% of what you want, take it. Then swing back around later, and get the other 25%.
I think that compromise is sometimes required if any progress is to be made. However, I also believe policy-makers should look for opportunities where both sides gain, rather than scenarios where one side wins and the other loses; i.e., win-win rather than win-lose.

I would submit an actual whole federal budget to the Speaker and to the budget sub-committee. It is known as proper fiduciary responsibility.
If elected, this power would play a significant role in my priorities. Part of my platform includes tax cuts for the middle class, imposing a wealth tax, eliminating tax breaks for large corporations, and taxing certain financial transactions.

General election race ratings

See also: Race rating definitions and methods

Ballotpedia provides race ratings from four outlets: The Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato's Crystal Ball, and DDHQ/The Hill. Each race rating indicates if one party is perceived to have an advantage in the race and, if so, the degree of advantage:

  • Safe and Solid ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge and the race is not competitive.
  • Likely ratings indicate that one party has a clear edge, but an upset is possible.
  • Lean ratings indicate that one party has a small edge, but the race is competitive.[4]
  • Toss-up ratings indicate that neither party has an advantage.

Race ratings are informed by a number of factors, including polling, candidate quality, and election result history in the race's district or state.[5][6][7]
