James Lambden
James R. Lambden was a justice on the First District, Second Division of the California Courts of Appeal. He was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson in 1996 (sworn-in on April 11th[1]) and retained in 1998.[2] He retired in July 2013.[3]
Education
Lambden received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley in 1972, and his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 1975.[4]
Career
From 1975-1989, Lambden was a Partner with the law firm of Fitzgerald, Abbott and Beardsley. He was appointed Judge of the Alameda County Superior Court in July 1989, by Governor George Deukmejian. He was appointed to the appellate court in 1996.[4]
Elections
2010
In 2010, Lambden was retained with 74.2% of the vote.[5]
