William Daniel Murray (1908-1994) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Montana. He was nominated by President Harry Truman on April 5, 1949, to a seat vacated by Judge Robert Lewis Brown. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 4, 1949, and received commission on May 9, 1949. From 1957 to 1965, he served as the chief judge. Murray assumed senior status on December 31, 1965 and served until his death on October 3, 1994.[1]
