Brian Bosma
Brian Bosma (Republican Party) is a former member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 88 from 1986 to 2020. He retired from the state legislature on July 31, 2020.[1]
Bosma served as speaker of the House twice, from 2005 to 2006 and again from 2011 to 2020. He is the longest-serving speaker of the House in the history of Indiana's legislature. When Democrats controlled the state House from 2007 to 2010, Bosma served as House minority leader of the Republican Party. Bosma was again selected as speaker after Republicans took control of the House in 2010 and served until the end of Indiana's legislative session in March 2020.[2][3]
Biography
Bosma's professional experience includes working as a Partner with Kroger Gardis and Regas Attorneys, Legislative Advisor to the Indiana Department of Education, and Associate Attorney with Bingham Summers Welsh and Spilman.

2014
Elections for the Indiana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Brian C. Bosma was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[8][9]
2012
Bosma won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 88. Bosma ran unopposed in the May 8 Republican primary and defeated Brandon Perry (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[10][11]
2010
Bosma defeated Democratic candidate John Kunzer by a margin of 14,909 to 7,842 to win re-election.[12] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.
In the May 4th primary, Bosma ran unopposed and received 6,799 votes.[13]

On November 4, 2008, Republican Brian Bosma won re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 88 receiving 22,602 votes, ahead of Democrat Terry Gingles Sr. who received 11,517 votes.[14]

Bosma is a member of the Grace Community Church, Chair of the Section on Business Law of the Indianapolis Bar Association, Coach with Castleview Baptist Youth Sports League and Director of Bosma Industries for the Blind.[16]
