Deborah Robinson
Deborah A. Robinson is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She began her service in that position on July 18, 1988. Her current term expired on July 17, 2020.[1]
Early life and education
Judge Robinson received her undergraduate degree from Morgan State University, and her J.D. from Emory University Law.[1]

Judicial career
Robinson was sworn in as a federal magistrate judge on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on July 18, 1988. She was reappointed to successive eight-year terms on the court in 1996, 2004, and 2012. Her current term expired on July 17, 2020.[1]
Noteworthy cases
Magistrate judge overseas pleas in Russia probe (2017)
On October 30, 2017, Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson presided as Paul Manafort, the one-time campaign manager for President Donald Trump (R) and Manafort's associate, Rick Gates, entered pleas of not guilty in response to an indictment on 12 charges related to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. Upon entry of the plea, the defendants were held over for trial in a federal district court with Judge Amy Berman Jackson presiding.[2]
