Richard Vollmer
Richard Vollmer (b. 1927) is a senior status federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Alabama.
Judge Vollmer was nominated by President George H.W. Bush on March 30, 1990, to a seat vacated by William Hand. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 11th, and received commission on May 14th. He assumed senior status on December 31, 2000. Vollmer was succeeded in this position by William Steele.
