Timothy Lewis (Pennsylvania)
Timothy K. Lewis (1954-present) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He was elevated to the Third Circuit in 1992 after being nominated by President George H.W. Bush.

Judicial career
Western District of Pennsylvania
Lewis was nominated by President George H.W. Bush on April 25, 1991, to a seat vacated by Paul Simmons; he was confirmed by the Senate on June 14, 1991, and received commission on June 18, 1991. He served the Western District of Pennsylvania until he was elevated to the Third Circuit on October 23, 1992. Lewis was succeeded in this position by Gary Lancaster.
Third Circuit
Lewis was nominated to the Third Circuit by President George H.W. Bush on September 17, 1992, to a new seat created by 104 Stat. 5089; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 8, 1992, and received commission the next day. He served the Third Circuit until his resignation on June 30, 1999.[1]
