John Bayard McPherson
John Bayard McPherson (1846-1919) was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He joined the court in 1912 after being nominated by President William Howard Taft.

Third Circuit
McPherson was a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. He was nominated by President William Howard Taft on March 16, 1912. He was confirmed by the Senate on April 3, 1912, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on January 20, 1919.[1]
Eastern District of Pennsylvania
McPherson was previously a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He was nominated by President William McKinley on February 28, 1899. He was confirmed by the Senate on March 2, 1899, and received commission that same day. He served on this court until April 8, 1912. McPherson was succeeded in this position by Joseph Whitaker Thompson.
