Thomas Rutherford Brett (b. 1931) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.

Brett was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on September 28, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 31, 1979, and received commission on November 2, 1979. He served as chief judge from 1994-1996. He assumed senior status on October 3, 1996, and served in that capacity until his retirement on February 1, 2003.[1] Brett was succeeded in this position by Claire Eagan.

Brett passed away on February 6, 2021.[2]
