John Bissell
John Winslow Bissell (1940-present) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and a New Jersey Superior Court judge.
Bissell was nominated to the District of New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan on November 23, 1982, to a seat vacated by Vincent Biunno; he was confirmed by the Senate on December 10, 1982, and received commission that same day. He served as chief judge from 2001 until his retirement on September 1, 2005.[1] Bissell was succeeded in this position by Susan Wigenton.
