Earl Gilliam
Earl Ben Gilliam (1931-2001) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Gilliam was nominated by President Jimmy Carteron December 7, 1979, to a new seat created by 92 Stat. 1629; he was confirmed by the Senate on August 19, 1980, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on April 2, 1993. He served the Southern District of California until his death on January 28, 2001. Gilliam was succeeded in this position by Napoleon Jones.
