Brian Barnett Duff was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He joined the court in 1985 after a nomination by President Ronald Reagan (R). Duff assumed senior status on October 30, 1996. His service ended on February 25, 2016, upon his death.[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

Northern District of Illinois

Duff was nominated to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois by President Ronald Reagan on August 1, 1985, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333; he was confirmed by the Senate on October 16, 1985, and received commission the next day. He assumed senior status on October 30, 1996.[1] Duff was succeeded in this position by Ronald Guzman.
